Yellow Siding
If you are envisioning the new color of the exterior of your home, you might not be picturing yellow. But we think you should! Yellow is such a deceptively versatile color. It obviously pairs incredibly well with blues and whites, but that is definitely not all. Here is why you should give yellow a second look when shopping for your exterior siding.

Sheer Ah-Maize-Ment

One of our most popular yellow siding colors is the lovely shade of maize, and people are really doing some incredible things with it.
It’s subtle, yet it stands out. It’s a little bit less sun-up and a little bit more sunset. It reminds us all of the time in the summer just before dusk, where everything seems to be perfect.
That being said, it’s definitely not just for warm weather climates. This shade certainly has a home in northern cities, even during the cold months.
What can you do with it? Here are some of our customers’ most popular color combinations:
  • As a primary base color, with white trim and granite accents
  • As a primary base color, with almond trim and cedar accents
  • As a primary base color, with cactus trim and country red accents
It’s also available in both horizontal and vertical siding, in a number of different textures and designs.

Other Popular Shades of Yellow

Or maybe you want a more organic color. Take a look at Yellowstone. The name is actually a bit deceptive, this is closer to a brown with yellow undertones.

You could try:

  • Yellowstone as a primary color, with white trim, and maize accents
  • Yellowstone as a primary color, with coffee trim and cedar accents
  • Yellowstone as a primary color, with commercial brown trim and sierra accents
Or you could go a step darker with Yellowstone rustic. The yellow undertones are less pronounced as we move into a deeper brown. This shade works incredibly well when you’re going for a natural look, particularly with a textured siding. This is most popular with people who are going for a rustic or natural look on the exterior of their homes, yet can be used beautifully on more modern homes as a bold choice for both primary and accent colors.
